WW Recap: September 28

Hey, champions!

Thank you so much for coming out to the WW last night! It was such a dope time and you’re all world-class superstars. If you missed it, here’s the magic that occurred:

The first hour, we discussed what is perhaps the most important element in distinguishing your short film from the rest: your unique voice. We talked about ways in which you can find your voice/what you want to say by looking at premise. Additionally, we came up with some great exercises/practices for finding your voice and how to develop your amazing premise further. For the full PP presentation, check below.

The second hour, we workshopped an amazing script: No Tomorrow by the one, the only Nicole Lefteau. Thank you all so much for your wonderful participation during the workshop! I’m so excited to see the final product, Nicole!

Soundtrack of last night’s meeting included UGK, Cigarettes After Sex, Tears for Fears, and Lady Gaga.

Please come next week for a wonderful presentation by the Sarah Brill on Story Structure and the workshop for Priyanka Shah’s I’m Stuck. It’s going to be a spectacular affair!

Best,

Kenny Severson
